Humans & AI - Crafting Content Together

Some of our content is written with the assistance of AI – think of it as an in-house ghost writer guided by our ideas, beliefs and values.

This enables us to produce a volume of informative content that we otherwise would not be able to, and to meet the needs of website visitors like yourself who want to better understand coaching supervision and the ICCS.

However, whilst AI helps us generate content efficiently, it is the human touch that refines it and it ensures it is ready for other humans to read!

Our AI-assisted content is not one-click-and-done. Each piece is created by taking a core idea and then working through it carefully, further developing the content to ensure it meets our high standards.

From there, every piece of content goes through a final rigorous filter at the highest level – typically with the founder, Nick Bolton – to ensure that it is good enough to publish.

Each piece of content is checked to ensure it meets FIVE Quality Standards.

Quality Standard 1: Accuracy

Since AI can sometimes, let's be frank here, make up information, we double-checks all facts, using both our own expertise and external sources when necessary. This includes verifying coaching models, attributions, and other important details.

Quality Standard 2 - Alignment with our Philosophy

We then check that the content we put out aligns with what we actually believe. For example, as a coaching supervision school we have a strong belief in each supervisor finding their own way and that there is no one single correct approach - we look out for such discrepancies. This way we are not giving out mixed messages or confusing ideas.

Quality Standard 3: Quality of Writing & Tone of Voice

While quality can be subjective, we ensure that the writing reflects the approachable, conversational tone ICCS is known for. If a piece feels rushed, authoritative or impersonal, it will be reworked until it meets our expectations.

Quality Standard 4: Alignment with Values

We don’t publish anything that might be discriminatory, stereotyping or prejudicial. Although AI is programmed to avoid such assumptions and language, we actively ensure this is the case.

Quality Standard 5: Diversity of Visual Representation

Finally, we are very proactive in creating images that show the full range of coaches and coaching supervisors. Our images includes different ages, abilities, races, genders, and more, to genuinely represent the diverse nature of coaches and supervisors from around the world.

Summary

AI is now a common and accepted part of content creation across the web. However, we will not allow it to negatively impact the quality, uniqueness or usefulness of our content.

We believe that by following the values described above we can bring you greater education and clarity into the world of coaching supervision than ever before.
