Surviving the Landslide: The Essential Nature of Self-Compassion in Supervision
Importance of self-compassion in supervision, with practical tools and reflections on its impact.
Susy is an alumna of the ICCS’ Diploma in Coaching Supervision. She works in medical education, supporting doctors and healthcare staff to be their best selves at work. As a doctor and as a consultant in public health medicine, she has worked in the UK and several African countries. Observing repeated health and social care reorganisation sparked her interest in organisational development and care of the workforce, and she trained as a coach, 360 facilitator and NLP practitioner. Susy is interested in the place of coaching in medical education and in staff resilience, and specifically in how better quality thinking by healthcare professionals leads to better patient care.
